Graduated in Applied Biology, from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Minho, where he has also completed a period of mobility in Italy, having developed his BSc thesis related with the response of grape berries to certain abiotic factors at the University of Bologna. He then completed his MSc in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Bioentrepreneurship in Plants also from the University of Minho, having elaborated his dissertation in the response of grapevine woody tissues after an exposure to low temperatures, focusing on the study of starch metabolism. He is currently a PhD student in Agricultural Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences of Porto, where he is investigating the role of the oral microbiome in the sensory perception of plant-based products, more precisely the role of the genotype and the microbiome as influencers in taste perception of this type of products. In this investigation he has the supervision of Doctor Albano Gonçalo Beja Pereira, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto and as co-supervisor Doctor Luís Cunha, Associate Professor, Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto.
