On February 21st, the Director of GreenUPorto and Professor at FCUP was one of several experts invited to take part in the II National Congress on Climate Change.

The Congress, held at UTAD and on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of February 2024, had as organizing institutions Nepa and CITAB – Center for Research and Agro-Environmental and Biological Technologies of UTAD. The main objective was to demystify the themes surrounding Climate Change, covering topics such as urban planning and sustainability, challenges for the energy transition, agriculture and climate change, new technologies, among others.

Throughout the program, which included not only lectures by experts, but also the presentation of research works and workshops on the topic of climate change, Professor Ruth Pereira gave a lecture entitled «Is Soil an ally or just a victim of Climate Change?”.
