Main interests have been so far centered in plant protein intracellular trafficking. Presently a collaboration with aerobiology group has tackled potential allergenic pollen proteins. Coding sequences of these proteins have been cloned and recombinant proteins produced in order to allow further characterization of allergenicity and in silico predictions. Allergenicity and gene expression is evaluated by qPCR in pollen subjected to different atmospheric pollutants. Immunoelectron microscopy is used for protein localization.
