Welcome to Tangier

Tangier is an admirable city built in the strait of Gibraltar, around one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
The soft climate, a vast beach, a luxurious Mediterranean vegetation make an attractive destination of it. Charmed, the foreign tourists come readily for a stay in Africa, some remain there for long time period, indeed great names of history of art and celebrities lived there: painters, writers, poets, directors, billionaires and celebrities. 60 000 foreigners lived in Tangier in the years 1950, Today, they would not be more than 2000.
Tangier enjoys of one strategic geographical position on one of the biggest maritime crossroads of the world. Its port has full passenger traffic with each year more than one million people. An enormous program of tourist management in Tangier bay is actuality including impressive hotel facilities.

How to get to Tangier

The city of Tangier is easily accessible from abroad. Several airlines offer direct service to Tangier airport or via Casablanca airport.
Tangier is also accessible by sea from Algeciras (south Spain) in 1 hour ferry.

Local Transportation

From the airport, there is only 20 minutes to the center of city and to the Hotel. You can take a taxi, rent a car... Special WEGENER2004 transport will be prepared if necessary.
There are taxis available just outside the airport terminal.
From Casablanca airport, you can take Train (http://www.oncf.ma) toward Tangier (about 5 houres ...change in Casablanca city ). There are 5 travels per day.
If you arrive at Tangier by train it is better to take a taxi to the Hotel (about 2,5 Euros).
