Career Service

FCUP supports the professional integration of students and recent graduates, as well as career management for its alumni, through vocational guidance and counselling.

It additionally holds an annual Job Fair (FCUP Career Fair), which enables students to have direct contact with companies, including also a number of activities related to employment, recruitment and networking.

Entrepreneurship Support

FCUP seeks to promote initiatives for the entire academic community, in order to promote and stimulate, in students, an entrepreneurial spirit. Thus, it organizes a series of initiatives to promote entrepreneurship in personal development and professional skills, and to encourage self-employment. FCUP is also open to secondary schools and companies, presenting a wide range of courses and making our best practices known. These are some of our initiatives:

• PEEC – Extracurricular Internship Program – to achieve a level of training that will enable them to successfully and responsibly perform tasks of a professional nature and thus assess their knowledge in a real working environment.
• FCUP Online Employment Scholarship
• “Sciences and Jobs”: This initiative was created by FCUP for the first time in the University of Porto, and opened the doors to the families of young people on the threshold of an access to Higher Education.
