Secondments

Marta La Bruna @UARIZONA

By the beginning of 2024, Marta La Bruna went to Prof. Ravi Palanivelu's Lab for a 5 moths secondment, in Tucson, Arizona. Along her stay she will perform several techniques, requiring specialized bioimaging know-how, on relevant Arabidopsis mutant lines, related to the effects of heat stress in important reproductive phases, critical for seed development. Rita Queirós @UTOKYO

In February 2024, together with Miguel Moreira, Rita Queirós took a six months secondment at Prof. Higashiyama-sensei's Lab, in Tokyo, Japan. During her stay she will develop work related to the effects of heat stress in relevant Arabidopsis mutant lines, during pollen-pistil interactions.

Miguel Moreira @UTOKYO

In February 2024, Miguel Moreira had chance to stay at Prof. Higashiyama-sensei's Lab for a 6 moths secondment, in Tokyo, Japan. During his stay he will develop work related to the effects of heat stress in relevant Arabidopsis mutant lines, during anthesis.

Maria João ferreira @UTOKYO

In June 2023, Maria João Ferreira took a 5 months secondment in Tokyo, Japan. She started working on the first tasks of this project, in close collaboration with Dr Higashiyama and his team members. During her stay she identified rice genes involved in heat stress tolerance in rice as well as their homologues in Arabidopsis for further analysis.

Sílvia Coimbra @UTOKYO

In June 2023, our Project Coordinator Sílvia Coimbra took a secondment in Tokyo, Japan, for the kickoff symposium "Plant Reproduction Research by International Networking, in the frame of the "Key-Molecule-Network in Plant Reproduction" (KEPLR) project and the CRISPit project. The symposium took place at the University of Tokyo on June 4, 2023.
