The closest stop to the conference venue (and hotels) is &#8220;Casa da M\u00fasica&#8221;, (about 15 minutes walk). To use the metro system you have to buy a card called &#8220;Andante&#8221; in which you charge your tickets. To go from the Airport to &#8220;Casa da M\u00fasica&#8221; you have to charge your andante with a Z4 trip, which costs 1,85 Euros. More information about the metro can be found in the\u00a0<u>metro web page<\/u>.<br \/>\n<em>By taxi:<\/em><br \/>\nPrice around 20 Euros. A small tip of around 5 percent is appreciated but not essential.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By car:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CFP is located in the Physics and Astronomy Department&#8217;s Building of the Faculty of Sciences Campus. It is near the &#8220;Arr\u00e1bida&#8221; bridge, where the &#8220;VCI&#8221; highway merges into the &#8220;A1&#8221; highway. You can find us in <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps\/ms?ie=UTF8&amp;hl=en&amp;z=17&amp;ll=41.152017,-8.637453&amp;spn=0.003256,0.007296&amp;t=k&amp;om=1&amp;msid=114586625793695771354.000001121f6db96134438&amp;msa=0\">Google Maps<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you come from Lisbon via the A1, you should go to &#8220;Arr\u00e1bida&#8221; bridge and not &#8220;Freixo&#8221;. You should take the second exit, named &#8220;Bessa Leite&#8221;, after crossing &#8220;Arr\u00e1bida&#8221; bridge.<\/p>\n<p>After the exit, turn right and then right again. You will reach some traffic lights; take the left turn and you will be in &#8220;Rua do Campo Alegre&#8221; going in the direction of the Physics Department&#8217;s Building.<\/p>\n<p>If you come by taxi, please tell the driver to go to &#8220;Faculdade de Ci\u00eancias, Campo Alegre&#8221; (or to the &#8220;Planet\u00e1rio&#8221;, which is next to the Physics and Astronomy Department).<\/p>\n<p>The bus stop that serves the Physics Department is called &#8220;Planet\u00e1rio&#8221;, where you can board lines 204, 200, 207, ZL. Visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stcp.pt\/\">STCP<\/a> webpage for fare and timetable informations.<\/p>\n<p>The nearest subway stop is &#8220;Casa da M\u00fasica&#8221; in Boavista. You can reach the Department walking (10 min.) or you can take bus route 204. Fare and timetables are available <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metrodoporto.pt\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Connection from Porto Airport and from Campanh\u00e3 train station<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both the airport and the Campanh\u00e3 train station are connected to the city metro. The closest stop to the conference site is Casa da M\u00fasica (about 10-15 minute walk to the venue and Semin\u00e1rio de Vilar). To use the metro system you have to buy a card called Andante, which you can then charge. From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ana.pt\/en-US\/Aeroportos\/porto\/Porto\/Pages\/Homepage-Porto.aspx\">Porto Airport<\/a> to\u00a0Casa da M\u00fasica you have to charge your Andante with a Z4 trip for 1.85\u20ac, and from the Campanh\u00e3 train station with a Z2 trip for 1.20\u20ac.
