Saúl Fernandes obtained a MSc in Environmental Contamination and Toxicology at the ICBAS from the University of Porto. He is currently working on a PhD within the PRORISK project at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (https://www.recetox.muni.cz/prorisk). The focus of his research is on the role of soil micro-arthropods on ecosystem services and their potential sensitivity to pesticides. Saúl is particularly enthusiastic about ecotoxicology and the preservation of the chemical and biological quality of soils.
