The ICSPR organizing committee has prepared an exciting program to let you benefit from the best that Porto has to offer.

On the right bank of the river Douro, Porto is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities of Europe. You can enjoy the beauty of this city sightseeing tour through this marginal Port. Starting at the Castelo do Queijo, through the avenue of Montevideo gardens, the beaches of Foz, Praça da Ribeira and its bars and cafes on the river Douro. The latest symbols of contemporary architecture of Porto as the House of Music and the works of the famous architect Siza Vieira. Discover in its steep streets leading down to the river Douro, the odd face in the architecture of its houses than with any other city blends with its historic center was classified as World Heritage by UNESCO.

This unforgettable tour will discover step-by-step the historic center of Porto, World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The calm route through the old streets and medieval alleys will take you to meet some of the most important monuments of Oporto, passing by the church of Clerics, Cathedral and station S. Bento. In the colorful and vibrant markets and traditional shops, full of character, find the most genuine of the Port in its people. And you will appreciate that the breaks organized in local charm to quietly enjoy traditional specialties.

Starting from Porto medieval we will em barque in a cruise across the Douro River. On this cruise, besides the six bridges that make the link between Porto and V. N. Gaia, you can admire a particularly rich and spectacular scenery and still be faced with an insurmountable beauty of river and sea mingle and intertwine as something that is part of a single life.

Port wine, a symbol of Portugal in the World, contains the history of a country and a people and has become over the years a cultural collective work and experiences, knowledge and art accumulated from generation to generation. The Port Wine cellars are a prime location to make contact with this national drink and its history.
Guided tour of the wine cellars of Porto Graham's group Symington. The Symington members are restricted Primum Familiae Vini, a group of eleven families of wine industry leaders worldwide. The remaining members are Antinori, Joseph Drouhin, Egon Muller Scharzhof, Hugel, Perrins of Beaucastel, Mouton Rothschild, Pol Roger, Sassicaia, Torres and Vega Sicilia. Very few can fulfill these requirements!
Nowadays, the society of families Symington has several reputable brands of Port. Graham's, Dow's, Warre's, Quinta do Vesuvio and Quinta de Roriz - and known brands of wine from Douro - Altano, and Chryseia Roriz. In the International Wine Challenge London between 1993 and 2009 the company received 27 gold medals and 48 silver medals. Peter Symington was found 6 times "Fortified Wine Maker of the Year" and Charles Symington was considered "Fortified Wine Maker of the Year" in 2003.
