Arriving by plane
|
There are many international direct flights to the International Airport of Porto (Aeroporto Sá Carneiro). There
are good connections from the airport to the centre of The
AeroBus leaves the airport every 30 minutes
from The journey lasts approximately 30 minutes to the hotels neighbouring the Department of Mathematics. The price of ticket is € 2,50. The ticket can be purchased inside the bus and is valid for a whole day in any STCP bus. Arriving by train
|
The train stops at the Campanhã railway station. Then you can either take bus 35 or take another train to São Bento railway station (your ticket is valid). São Bento
railway station is located at Then you can take bus 35, 37, or 78 from Pr. da Liberdade stop to Planetário stop (for the Mathematics Department or Campo Alegre Residence) or Junta stop (for the hotels or D. Pedro V Residence). Tickets can be purchased directly to the bus driver and price is about € 1,00. See

Arriving by car
|
The best way to reach the Department of Mathematics by car is by taking the beltway (VCI). Take Campo
Alegre exit. This is close to Ponte da Arrábida (Arrabida
Bridge). No matter what side you are coming from VCI you will be driven to Via Panorâmica.
Very quickly you will see the Department of Mathematics on your left. To arrive by car you must take the first street to the right and then again the first street to the right on the next crossing. After 200m (going up) you will find Rua do Campo Alegre. Turn on the right and 100m after you will be in front of the Department of Mathematics. |
