Formed in 1911, the Faculty of Sciences is since then the responsible for teaching Exact and Natural Sciences.
Currently with over 3700 students, it is one of the largest within the University of Porto, highly experienced in Science Education and also most up to date with recent developments in Science. The quality and diversification of interests not only assure its interdisciplinary character but also its continuous update of contents and methods.
In the School you will have free access, for instance, to the various libraries (pure and applied mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology), computer facilities, wireless internet and cafeteria.
