  • Accomodations and Travel Information:

We recommend going by plane to Porto's airport (OPO). If arriving in Lisbon, one can take the Alfa-Pendular train from either Gare Oriente or Santa Apolonia to Porto, Campanha. The average travel time by train from Lisbon to Porto is 3.5 hours.

We plan to use Hotel Tuela. It is a 3 star hotel located within a 5 minute walk from the conference site and is conveniently located for restaurants. Downtown Porto is a short bus ride away.

You should get a taxi to the hotel. Taxis at the airport do not have to use a meter. They should charge you around 15-20 Euros. If you want a receipt (invited speakers should get one), ask for a factura.

On Wednesday morning, somebody from the conference will show up around 8h45 to bring you to the conference site.

If you want to try walking, maps and further travel information can be found at: http://www.fc.up.pt/mp/informacoes.htm.

Here there is a small map showing Hotel Tuela (not to be confused with Hotel Tuela Torre which is next door).

Our building is Rua do Campo Alegre, 687. It is the first of the modern buildings you will see on the left hand side of the road when you reach Rua do Campo Alegre. Rua do Campo Alegre can be found to the southwest of the hotel (more west than south). It is best to locate the hotel on the map next to its address and then compare with the map showing the location of our building.

    Hotel Prices:

    Single 45,00 Euros per night

    Double 50,00 Euros per night

These prices are special for the conference and must be booked through us.
