UNIFY Workshop on
Porto, 21-23 June, 2011
Useful Information
The workshop will start on the morning of the 21st June and will be held at the "Departamento de Física e Astronomia" of "Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto". Lunches will be served at the University restaurant Círculo Universitário do Porto located in an adjacent
building.
In the evening of the 23rd there will be the conference dinner, held at the Taylor Port wine cellars, with a spectacular view over the Douro river. In the evening of the 23rd there it is the commemoration of the city saint S. João, and everyone is on the street with music and fire works everywhere. The restaurant site has a privileged view over the main fireworks at midnight.
The organization made a group reservation at the hotel HF Fenix Porto, so please registrar by email as soon as possible and give your arrival and departure dates. Upon request there will be a number of rooms for students at the University accommodation at a lower price (15 € per day). At the bottom of this page you can see the instructions to arrive at the hotel from the airport.

Hotel Ipanema Porto and connection from Porto Airport
The conference hotel is the hotel HF Fenix Porto. The price is 65 € per day per room (for both single and double rooms), and includes breakfast.
From the
airport there is a metro connection to the city centre. The closest
stop to the hotel is "Casa da Musica" (5-10 minute walk to the hotel).
To use the metro system you have to buy a card called "Andante" which
you can then charge. From the Porto Airport to "Casa da Música" you have to
charge your "Andante" with a Z4 trip for 1.50 €. More information can

metro web page. By taxi the fair from the airport to
the hotel should be around 20 €.
