Computational Chemistry Group

University of Porto

The group of theoretical and computational chemistry of the University of Porto belongs to the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Sciences and is part of REQUIMTE, the associated Laboratory for green chemistry

The group was formed in the late 1970s (Photo Gallery ) and comprehends today more than 40 researchers. Most of the computational work is done in its own equipment that includes a cluster with more than 300 processors and 40 workstations.
