Dear ICSrt2009 conference participants,

Our conference in Porto is approaching and we would like to send you
some information:

1) Schedule:  A tentative schedule is attached to this email and also
posted on the conference web site (http://www.fc.up.pt/ICSrt2009/ )
If you are a speaker at the conference, please check that your talk time
on this schedule works
for your travel dates, and notify us by email as soon as possible if
your talk needs to be rescheduled.
(If your schedule is changed at the last minute (by significantly
delayed flights...), you will not make it here in time for your talk and
you are not able to sending an email might not be a solution, please

2) Abstracts:  The booklet of abstracts for the talks will soon be
available at the conference web site.

4) Talk facilities: the lecture rooms will have a board (white; black in
the case of the rooms for the paralel sessions), a document projector,
and a computer projection system.

5) Computers: it will be possible to use an account created for the
conference in various computers on the campus.
There will also be a free wireless access.

6) Proceedings: proceedings of the conference will be published in the
International Journal of Algebra and Computation.  Further information
on submitting a paper to the proceedings will be given at the conference.

7) Location:  Registration and the lecture rooms are located in the
Mathematics (Pure and Applied) building. Maps and directions can be
found by following the link from the conference web site.
If you arrive by the Airport of Porto, you may take a taxi, or take the
tramway of "Metro do Porto" (http://www.metrodoporto.pt/) to go to the
city.
The tramway takes about 25 min to arrive at station "Casa da Musica",
signalized in the map available in the web page conference
(http://www.fc.up.pt/ICSrt2009/), and not faraway from almost all hotels
signalized in the map.
All tramways leaving the airport go to station "Casa da Musica", but
when returning to the airport, be careful to choose the one with
direction "Aeroporto".

8) Book signing: it will be possible to buy the Rhodes/Steinberg "The
q-theory of Finite Semigroups" with 20% discount.
